What happened to this show? Have you guys seen it? If you can find old episodes I totally recommend it. I loved that they did almost everything themselves and they had the best DIY projects! Ah, I miss it so much, it was such an inspiration...

I love the tropic feel to this bathroom and the painted leaves on the wall.

I like the extra handles on the wardrobe used to display jewelry and the painted tree in the background. It looks as if they are hanging on the branches.

This is my dream kitchen! I love the wood, the stone, the dark cabinets. And just look at that floor!

There are photos on their website and before/afters but the show itself was so much better!

Happy Weekend!

Cupcakes is one of the things that can almost always make me smile. But how could they not - who doesn't love cupcakes? It's like not loving puppies or soap bubbles. Speaking of puppies isn't this the cutest photo ever?

I am going to this tomorrow and hopefully to dinner and a good movie (if we find one). We saw Inglourious Basterds last week and it was good. It was pretty violent on places so I don't advise you to eat a lot before watching it :)

Lovely: Nerd

I love glasses. I love how sophisticated, smart and sexy a woman looks with glasses and perhaps I am the only person in the world who is not too happy with having a perfect vision, lol.
This lovely item is for people like me who love glasses but have no reason to wear them. You can use the it both as a bookmark and as USB key. Well, it is not that small to put it in your pocket but it sure looks like a lot of fun!

Inspiration

I have no idea where I found this photo but I love it so much. The place looks so peaceful and kind of mysterious. I can imagine myself sitting around that gorgeous table with my friends chatting and drinking wine till late at night.

Lovely: Anthropolgie

I recently discovered that Anthropologie ships to my country and decided to take a look at their website (for a 100th time probably). Some of the things are a bit expensive for me, but there are really some great and very affordable finds. I realized that my new obsession is plates and bowls, yep!

I'm back

Hello everyone! I am back from my vacation at the seaside. I had no internet connection there so no blogging for me. It actually felt good to leave my laptop and iphone and forget about them for a while. I think I've become way more depended on them than I'd like. I managed to go through some of the photos I took there and just wanted to share.

Nessebar. There are many merchants on the streets. It really adds a lot of colour and character and you can find lovely souvenirs.

Nessebar has many ruins, it is a really lovely historical town. This particular one is from one of the most important churches in our country, well, many, many years ago.

This is at a lovely Italian restaurant we found at the beach. You can see small fishermen boats in the background. They had the best dessert there - salty crackers + Mascarpone + Nutella. I am not usually into this kind of experimentsb but it was surprisingly good!

This man has been at the town entrance for over 15 years every day playing a bagpipe (it is a national musical instrument). The atmosphere is amazing!

I love what you can find on the street when you just walk around, no map, no nothing - just get lost and have fun!

This is what the beach at St. Vlas looks like at night. I love the private tents, so romantic!

This is an old restaurant in Nessebar. We had dinner there the first night. All of the waiters were dressed like sailors and there were three old musicians playing instruments and singing, it was fabulous!

There is a month left until I start my next semester at the university. I hope I will be able to do most of the things I have planned - hiking, riding a horse, starting my own business. Did you manage to do all the things you wanted this summer? I am thinking of making a 101 things in 1001 days list, anyone with me? It will be so much fun!

I've been a fan of Yanko Yanev's work for over 10 years. We've got more than 7-8 prints of his paintings at home. What I love most about his work is that it is so picturesque and also that each of these places is from my country. Yes, Bulgaria is beautiful.

Lovely Apartments

Bravacasa is one of my favorite magazines that I buy every single month. Last year I met the Bulgarian and the Italian editors (the magazine is originally Italian, but it is being issued in my country as well) and they were both awesome. Most of the issues are in my old room at my parents' house and now that I am visiting I had time to go through them. I remembered I had promised Lora to show her a small apartment that might be an inspiration for her own home but then I decided you all might like it as well.

The apartment is very small, it is on the last storey of a building in Antverp, Belgium. I like the black-and-white interior with little colour accents here and there as if the photograph with the taxies on the wall inspired the whole interior.

I made this necklace about two weeks ago and I've been wearing it ever since. I really like how it turned out and I enjoyed making it. I'd love to hear any feedback since this is my first try at making jewelry :)

By the way that book on the picture is about 130 years old. I just love it!

Go Green!

I love it when people think of simple, cheap, smart design and recycle at the same time. Newspaper to New Paper by dentsu is a great example.

Designed as a package for a street vendor that sells farm-grown vegetables and fruits this product is made of old newspapers with added bright stripes or dots. It has increased the sales and people love it so much that they keep the wrap and reuse it. So next time you want to throw out your old newspaper think what you can do with it.

I've been meaning to post about this gorgeous villa in Mykonos, Greece for over a month. If you know anything about me you'd know how much I love white interiors and therefore how much I loved this place. Photos are by my bf. Enjoy!

Enjoying the bad weather

I love rainy weather. I love storms. I love wearing scarves and my cute boots for rain. I love grabbing my hoodie before I go out. I love having a good book and a cup of hot coffee and spending the day just listening to the rain. It's been raining here all week and it's fabulous!

iDIY: address file + giveaway

Staying organized isn't something that comes naturally to me. I have a pile of business cards, pieces of paper, addresses written in each of my 7 or 8 notebooks without any particular order and it is definitely time to sort all these out. The inspiration came from this post at heart handmade showing how to organize your contacts and get rid of your junk mail at the same time. Neat.

I used a cute box (in which was one of my birthday presents from my bf). The dividers are cut from an old paper bag (I still need to iron them). I wanted to stamp them, but I didn't have a stamp so instead I just wrote the letters, ha! Being the notebook addict that I am I had a lot of blank pages from different notebooks lying around so I just cut them and used them to write the addresses.

OK, this one is simply genius! I seriously cannot think of a more clever and at the same time simple concept for a calendar. Sucking ink from the attached bottle day by day this calendar colours each month in a different shade. Depending on the season the months are either in green (spring); orange (summer); red (autumn) or cold blue (winter). Don't you just love it?

Another one of my abstract paintings - one of my first. You can see more here and here.

I went to the craft store this weekend and got some great things. I got some paper and those lovely pearl envelopes - very cute! I was also looking for scrap paper and a punch to make paper lace, but both were too expensive so I decided to use what I already have at home. Here is what I made with my little heart punch. I think it turned out pretty nicely.
I also played bowling this weekend (I'm getting so good at this!) and watched G.I.Joe. Anyone seen it? It was actually better than I expected.
